Modřanský biograf first opened in 1919 in the Lidový dům and has also been known as Bio Lido, Viktoria and Vlast. Nationalized in 1945, it was returned to the pre-war owner’s family after 1989; following the devastating flood of 2002, it was repaired and resumed screenings in 2003. Today’s film program continues the tradition of a neighborhood cinema with more than a century of history.
